Thanks for visiting the Institute of Internal
Auditors Tidewater Chapter website. Our chapter covers the Hampton
Roads area
of Virginia (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Newport News). It is our intent
that this
site help with our mission to provide members with opportunities to
grow
professionally and to better serve their employer through training,
networking,
CIA certification and leadership development.
If you are not a member and would like to join the Tidewater Chapter,
you may
contact any officer or Board of Governor member. All the materials you
need may
also be found under the "Membership Resources"
section. Please read our chapter

2010 District Conference Registration is Now Open! -
The 2010 District Conference will be held on October 21-22, 2010
in Virginia Beach. A total of 16 CPE will be available for the
main conference. Sessions will address such topics as
Transformational Change in Internal Audit, Bribery and Corruption,
Computer Technology and Street Smart Investigations, Procurement
Fraud and Risk Assessment. The Glenn Sumners CIA Review

Obtaining IIA Certifications
Is More Convenient Than Ever-
With combuter-based testing, taking the exam for an IIA certification,
such as the CIA, is convenient and can be done on your schedule.
Locally, the testing center is located in Newport News.

Advancement Fund (IAAAF) -
Learn more about how you can help promote and advance internal auditing
education in our colleges and universities through the IIA's Internal
Auditing Educational Partnership (IAEP). Locally, Old
